Live it Right

Life is about making Something out of Nothing at all. If you're able to do that, you're able to do Everything.

Painted Life

Life is like a flower, painted to perfection, yet at the end it wilts, fragile as it is, only the stem left unbroken.

Fallen Leaves

Like the autumn leaves, we fall at times, only to find ourselves blown away by the wind, and thus we reach yet another place.

+The Teaching Of Buddha @ Mamak...=)

  • Buddha has no form but manifests Himself in Exquisiteness and leads us with His whole heart of Compassion.
  • He is no God. He does not exist because people think He exists; neither does He disappear because people forget Him.
  • Buddha's body in this aspect fills every corner of the universe, it reaches everywhere, it exists forever, regardless of whether people believe in Him or doubt His existence.
Here are some phrases that caught my attention in "The Teaching of Buddha", I can really go on and on typing, but these are what I really want to highlight, that nothing is permanent, nor are they constant, only changing is everlasting.

Things do not come and go; neither do they appear and disappear
; therefore, one does not get things or lose things.

To believe that things created by an incalculable series of causes can last forever is a serious mistake and is called the theory of permanency
; but it is just as great a mistake to believe that things completely disappear; this is called the theory of non-existence. People cherish the distinction of purity and impurity; but in the nature of things, there is no such distinction, except as it rises from false and absurd images in their mind.

In like manner people make a distinction between good and evil, but
good and evil do not exist separately. People naturally fear misfortune and long for good fortune; but if distinction is carefully studied, misfortune often turns out to be good fortune and good fortune to be misfortune.

The temporary feelings of good and evil, love and hatred, that have been aroused by surroundings and changing external conditions, are only momentary reactions that have their cause in the defilement accumulated by the human mind.

People see this good and that bad, they like this and dislike that, and they discriminate existence from non-existence; and then, being caught in these entanglements and becoming attached to them, they suffer.
  1. There are causes for all human suffering, and there is a way by which they may be ended, because everything in the world is the result of a vast concurrence of causes and conditions, and everything disappears as these cause and conditions change and pass away.
  2. Blossoms come about because of a series of conditions that lead up to their blooming. Leaves are blown away because of a series of conditions lead up to it. Blossoms do not appear independently, nor does a leaf fall of itself, out of its season. So everything has its coming forth and passing away; nothing can be independent without any change.
  3. It is the everlasting and unchanging rule of this world that everything is created by a series of causes and conditions and everything disappears by the same rule; everything changes, nothing remain constant.
  4. In this world there are three wrong viewpoints. If one clings to these viewpoints, then all things in this world are but to be denied.
  • 1st, some say that all human experience is based on destiny;
  • 2nd, some hold that everything is created by God and controlled by His will;
  • 3rd, some say that everything happens by chance without having any cause or condition.
If all has been decided by destiny, both good deeds and evil deeds are predetermined, weal and woe are pre-destined; nothing would exist that has not been foreordained. Then all human plans and efforts for improvement and progress would be in vain and humanity would be without hope.

The same is true of the other viewpoints, for, if everything in the last resort is in the hands of an unknowable God, or a blind chance, what hope has humanity except in submission? It is no wonder that people holding these conceptions lose hope and neglect efforts to act wisely and to avoid evil.

In fact, these three conceptions or viewpoints are all wrong; everything is a succession of appearances whose source is the accumulation of causes and conditions.

What I want to say is
the world exist only when there's yin and yang, black and white, sadness and happiness, there is no separation between life and death, each of which holds its own tale, its own meaning. "If only we could keep in mind that everything happens for a reason, find out what the reason it, and learn from it." But this is one deep lesson to learn, it's not an easy task, finding the reason, what's more learning from it.

Love, Jane

P.S.: Yesterday, once again. =)

Went JJ after I went to see the doctor at Pantai, here's the thing, while I was waiting to pay the parking ticket, there's an old guy in front of me, which doesn't seem to know how to use the machine, while I was beside him, it's weird, I couldn't say a word, I just point to his ticket and he understood, so I inserted the ticket and Jcard for him, but after that, when I thought of it, I may have seem rude, well, I really did not utter a word, when I tried he just let me help him, with a smile I can see coming from his eyes, he was wearing a mask, I was thinking, a smile doesn't need to be from the lips, sometimes, the eyes mean more, you can just tell.

He probably was with his daughter, cause I saw a younger women walking with him to the car park, the guy should be around his 70's, then I started to think about my granddads, which I never got the chance to know any of them, my maternal grandpa passed away when I was just a little girl, 4 or 5 I think. My paternal grandpa passed away before I even exist, heh. So yea, I never know what it's like having a grandpa, all my life, I only had a paternal grandma, that stays behind my house, I love her, love her lots, she's really an amazing women, but most of the times, we take things for granted don't we? She's always at home, but it's not that I go over there all the time, even though it's just a few steps from my house, so most of the times when I see her walking around, I'll just go over, gives her a massage, heh, with my tiny hands, don't really have much energy, but she don't mind. ^^. She's a mother of 10 wonderful children, 30 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. We are one big happy family!! Least that's the atmosphere during CNY, hehe, well, she's the connector of us all, everyone respects her, everyone loves her, so yea, even if there's conflict within the family, when it comes to her, everyone has the same intention. =)

P.S.: If you're wondering about Mamak, that's what we called her, I think I mentioned this in previous post, heh, well, it's a combination of Mak, and Mama, so Mamak lor, supposedly Nya if you're referring to your mother, and if you're a fan of Little Nyonya you would have noticed, but hmm, most people just call Mak, Mama stands for grandma, influenced by Malay, Mak Cho means great grandmother.
